Out. Of 500 students in a bous school the number of boys in primary section is 275 and the rest are in high school. To stick new uniforms, 1m80cm clothes is required for primary student and 2m20cm cloth is required for a high school student. What length of cloth will be required to make uniforms for all the students

Expert Answer
We know that,
1m = 100
→ 1m 80cm = 180 cm and 2m 20cm = 220 cm
For primary section boys length of cloth = 275 × 180 = 49500 cm
For high school boys length of cloth = 225 × 220 = 49500 cm
Therefore the length of cloth required to make uniforms for all the students = 49500 + 49500
= 99000 cm
= 990 m
