Oot of chloral and phenyl acetaldehyde which can undergo aldol condensation reaction ?

the necessary condition for aldol condesation is aldehyde or ketone (reactant) must have α(alpha) hydrogen atom
In case of chloral acetaldehyde [Cl3CCHO] there is no α (alpha) hydrogen therefore chloral acetal dehyde is not undergo aldol condensation .
and in case of phenyl acetaldehyde Ph-CH2 - CHO there is presence of α (alpha) hydrogen atom therefore it undergoes aldol condensation
