One day I went for an evening walk near my house and suddenly saw a crowd gathered around a junction. I went a little closer to the crowd and heard moaning and groaning and saw a small boy, about 10 years old, sitting on the junction pavement bleeding from his forehead and elbow. On asking the crowd I came to know that a speeding autorickshaw had dashed against the boy despite the poor boy crossing over a zebra-crossing. The boy was so frightened that he could barely stop trembling and continued to cry. Luckily, an elderly man from his building identified the boy and volunteered to take him to the hospital and call his parents. Thank God for the good Samaritan, the boy received timely help.
