on which principle are shadows,images and eclipses formed?

Expert Answer
There is no such principle rwlatreto formation of shadow or image.
But you can say whenever light ray fall on an opaque surface it get absorbed completely,which leads to formation of shadow on the other side of opaque object.
Same thing happen with image. In image formation light Ray's coming from object intersect at a particular point and forms an image.
