Observe the graph carefully and answer the questions that follow.
(i)What type of motion OA, AB and BC represent in the above velocity-time graph? (ii) Find out the acceleration and retardation of the body.

(i) In the region OA: velocity increases uniformly with time, and hence OA represents uniform acceleration.
In the region AB: the body is moving with constant speed, and hence moving with zero acceleration.
In the region BC: velocity decreases uniformly with time, and hence BC represents uniform retardation.
(ii) Acceleration of the body during OA
As in the region BC velocity decreases uniformly with time; hence there is retardation.
Thus, retardation of the body during BC
