What to do while taking a measurement.

What should not be done while taking a  measurement.

The start as well as the end of the object whose measurement is to be taken should be kept properly on the scale such that one of its end coincides with the zero (0) mark on the scale.

The ends of the object whose measurement is to be taken should not be kept before or after the zero (0) mark on the scale.

During measurement, object should be kept parallel to the scale and touching it.

During measurement, object should not be tilted with respect to the scale.

At the time of measurement your eye should be aligned with the marking on the scale and the other end of the object.

At the time of measurement your eye should not be placed at an angle to view the readings.
