Hi Sabyasachi,

Newton's formula is an alternate formula for finding image distance for a lens

For this one needs the distance of the object and image w.r.t. focus. Let us say that object is a distance 'x' away from F and image forms a distance 'y' away. So, the Newton's formula is f2 = xy
