Expert Answer
There are some organisms which produce ATP by aerobic respiration in the presence of oxygen. However, when oxygen is absent, they can switch to the process of fermentation or anaerobic respiration. They are known as facultative anaerobes.
Examples: Yeast, species of Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli.
