Two states where laterite soil is commonly found are Karnataka and Kerala.
Two features of laterite soil are:
1. It is found in the areas of high temperature and heavy rainfall.
2. The soil becomes suitable for cultivation after the addition of manure and fertilizers to it. The soil is useful for growing tea and coffee.
