Expert Answer
Neurons are electrically excitable cells in the nervous system that function to process and transmit information. The dendrites of a neuron get excited on receiving an electrical impulse. This impulse then travels along the axon and gets transmitted to the next neuron where the dendrites of the enxt neuron conduct the impulses forward from one neuron to another.
