Must every magnetic configuration have a north and south pole? Pls explain.

Hi Vishwanath,

A magnetic configuration has to be described by a North Pole and a South Pole because magnetic monopoles do not exist in nature.

Like the electric charges exist as either positive or negative entities, magnetic poles do not.
