There were no transgenic plants obtained using construct because as compared to construct I, construct II contained a passenger gene encoding a dephosphorylase enzyme (DEP). Expression of this gene produces the enzyme which inhibits or suppresses the growth of transformed cells in the medium. Also, there is a possibility that the hygromycin resistance gene might have lost its functionality and hence could not offer resistance to the transformed cells due to which they might have got killed and hence, could not show growth on the medium.

So, the correct answer to this question is option B and D.
