Height of Mt. Everest(as it is above sea level) = + 29,028 feet 

Height of dead sea (as it is below the sea level) = - 1,312 feet 

So, the difference these two elevations= 29,028 - (- 1,312)

= 29,028 + 1,312

= 30340 feet
