Expert Answer
Modulus Function f (x)= |x| or absolute value of x is defined as
f(x)={x if x>=0:; and -xif x<0
In simpler words modulus function always returns a positive value for any real value of x be it positive or negative.For example if x=-5 |x|=5 and if x=5 then |x|=5
It is defined for all real numbers so domain is R and range is the set of positive real numbers.
