Following are the Judicial powers of the President of India:

  1. The President can reduce criminal punishment and also grant a pardon in case;
    1. The punishment or sentence is by a Court Martial.
    2. The punishment is for offences against Union laws.
    3. The case is of a sentence of death.
  2. No criminal proceedings can be instituted in any court against an incumbent President.
