Let Manu is X years old now.

When Kanu was X years old before 24 - X years, then

Kanu's age as Manu's age is now i.e. X = 2(Manu's age at that time i.e. before 24 - X years ago)

X = 2(X - (24-X))

Solving this,

X = 16 years,

Manu's present age is 16 years.
