Let ABCD and EFGH be two square each of side length 12 cm and are placed such that the corner of one lies at the centre of another. Let E coincide with centre of ABCD and C coincide with centre of EFGH. Let the squares in the above situation forms a quadrilateral EJCK, such J is a point on BC and K is a point on CD.If the length of BJ is 3 cm find the area of EJCK.

Expert Answer
Location of point J on BC is specified by giving BJ = 3 cm. But location of point K on CD is not specified.
Hence the problem can not be solved .To solve this problem, location of point K has to be specified on line CD.
