Length and breadth of a rectangular park is in ratio 5:2
a 2.5 metre path moves around outside of the park has an area of 305 metre^2 .Find the dimensions of the park

According to the condition in the question,
Area = length × breadth = 5x × 2x = 10x2
Length including path is (5x + 2.5 + 2.5)m = (5x + 5)m and
breadth including path is (2x + 2.5 + 2.5)m = (2x + 5)m
Area of the Park = [(5x + 5)(2x + 5) - 10x2 ] = (35x + 25)m2
Therefore 35x + 25 = 305
x = 8
Therefore the length of the park = 5x = 40m and breadth = 2x = 16m
