LAWS OF CONSERVATION OF MOMENTUM HOLDS TRUE ONLY FOR A SYSTEM OF PARTICLES WHY?NOT IN THE CASE OF INDIVIDUAL PARTICLE.

Answered by Expert
Answer:
For conservation of momentum, there is supposed to be some collision or interaction involved. Then, we can compare the momentum before collision and after collision.
For an individual particle, collision is not applicable.
Hence, law of conservation of momentum holds true for system of particles and not for individual particles.
