It is observed that during march past we hear a base drum distinctly from a distance compared to the side drums
1)Name the characteristic of sound associated with above observation
2)Give reason for the observation

Amplitude of vibration of medium particle is very large in bass drum compare to Snare drum, it's frequency of vibration is very less than snare drum.
That quantity associated with sound is intensity of sound.
