Is aster and spindle fibre the same thing?

Spindle fibre is a single filament  coming from the poles to the centre. Aster is also a single filament but the difference is the location of the aster. It is present outside of the centrioles forming a star shaped structure called as aster.
 
 

Spindle Fibres

Aster

It remains attached to the chrmosome

It is not attached to the chromosome

The fibre runs in between two daughter centrioles

Fibres originate friom the centriole forming a star shaped structure called as aster
