Is aster and spindle fibre the same thing?

Expert Answer
Spindle fibre is a single filament coming from the poles to the centre. Aster is also a single filament but the difference is the location of the aster. It is present outside of the centrioles forming a star shaped structure called as aster.

It remains attached to the chrmosome |
It is not attached to the chromosome |
The fibre runs in between two daughter centrioles |
Fibres originate friom the centriole forming a star shaped structure called as aster |
