In what ways are green manures different from compost?

Hi Sayani,

Green manures are nothing but leguminous plants are grown in between two crops. These leguminous plants help to replenish nitrogen in the soil.

Compost is formed by the decomposition of vegetables and animal wastes by bacteria and then, it is converted into humus which is overall rich in organic content required by plants.
