in the question '-y+46=32 if i do it in one way i get one ans. and in another way another ans. Why does this happen and which is the right way. In that case in the question '4x+3=2x+11' our teacher said if we do it anyway the ans. will be the same.

As per the question, the first equation is -y+46=32
We can solve this equation by the steps below:
-y + 46 = 32
=> -y = 32-46
=>-y = -14
=> y = 14
Since it is a linear equation, only one solution exists, which is y = 14.
Similarly, the other equation can be solved as :
4x+3=2x+11
=> 4x-2x = 11-3
=> 2x = 8
=> x = 4
