From the Venn Diagram, we can see that,
(a) A = {those who have a brother}
Hence, Number of those who have a brother = n (A) = 180 + 710 = 890
(b) B = {those who have a sister}
Hence, Number of those who have a sister = n (B) = 710 + 70 = 780
(c) Number of those who have neither brother nor sister = 240
(d) Total number of pupils = 180 + 710 + 70 + 240 = 1200
