In a triangle PQR, M &N are the point on PQ and PR such that MN || QR.The bisectors of angle Q and R meet MN at O. Prove that MN= MQ + NR

Expert Answer
MN = MO + ON
so we need to prove NO = NR and OM = MQ
now
angle NOR = angle ORQ......MN || QR .....alternate angles
also
angle NRO = angle ORQ.......angle bisector
angle NRO = angle NOR
so triangle NOR is isoceles
so NO = NR
similarly in tri OMQ we can prove OM = MQ
