In a circular track (distance 400m) an athlete run 1/4 the of the ground. So what would be the displacement?

Displacement is the measurement of change in position of a body with respect to its original position.
When the motion of a body is described along a curve, the displacement is measured along a straight line joining the initital and the final position of that body.
In case of a circular motion along a track 400 m long, if a body moves for 1/4th of the total distance of the track.
Then, the displacement is given by AB, let us find the distance A to B.
C = 2 π r
r = 400 / 2π
r = 63.66 m
In triangle AOB,
AB² = AO² + OB ² (AO = OB ... radii of the same circle)
AB² = 8105.19
AB = 90.02 m
Thus, the displacement made by the mentioned athlete is 90.02 m
