imagine you have two bags, both of them have the same weight. the blue bag has a thin strap while the bag has a wide /thick strap. which one will hurt your shoulder more? Why?

We know that, 
 
Force =  Pressure/Area 
Force is inversely proportional to area. 
 
Thus, 
In case of the bag which have wide strap, the weight gets evenly distributed over our shoulders than in case of blue bag having thin strap. 
Thus, 
Straps of blue back will hurt more to our shoulders because area of the straps is less and thus, weight of the bag felt on our shoulders will be more than the bag having wide straps. 
Remember that, as area increases, force (here weight of bag) decreases.
