If two mirrors are aligned at an angle *x* do we assume it to be symmetrical or asymmetrical ?

No we do not assume this kind if thing,
Devide 360 by given angle if the the nearest value is odd number then the setup is considered as asymmetrical. 
And the nearest value is even integer then the setup is considered as symmetrical.
