If three cubes of dimensions 3cm by 3cm by 3cm are placed side by side, what would the dimensions of the resulting cuboid be? Explain.

Observe the figure.
The resulting cuboid formed will have breadth = 3 cm and height = 3 cm.
However, the length of the resulting cuboid will be 3 cm + 3 cm + 3 cm = 9 cm.
