If the sum and product of zeros are 1/4, -1 respectively , then find the quadratic polynomial.

Answer:
Sum of zeros = 1/4
Product of zeros = -1
Required quadratic polynomial is
k[x2 - (Sum of zeros) x + (Product of zeros)]
k(x2 - 1/4 x - 1)
 
You can leave the answer in this form or you can add a step as follows:
4x2 - x - 4 (taking k = 4 . Note this will give just one polynomial with given relation of zeros)
