Expert Answer
Initial speed u = 0 ; final speed v = 144 km/hr = 144 × (5/18) = 40 m/s ;
acceleration a is obtained from the formula, " v = u + a t " , i.e. a = v/t = 40/20 = 2 m/s2
distance covered in 20 s :- S = u t + (1/2) a t2 = (1/2)×2×20×20 = 400 m
