Horizontal velocity component = 20×cos45 m/s = 20×(1/√2) = 10√2 m/s

time taken t to travel 15 m is given by,   t = 15/(10√2) = (3/4)√2 s

vertical distance h travelled in a time t = (3/4)√2 s is given by,

h = u×sinα×t - (1/2)g t2 = 20×sin45×(3/4)√2 -(1/2)×9.8×[(3/4)√2]2 ≈ 9.5 m
