The person in the picture is Firoz Shah Tughlaq.
He succeeded Muhammad bin Tughlaq.
He abolished the system of torture of suspected criminals. The punishment related to the mutilation of hands, feet and other parts of the body was done away with. The suspects were now given mild punishments.
He laid the foundation of Hissar Firuzah and Jaunpur.
