 (I3=3658 kg/mol and I4=25024 kg/mol)As the difference between I3 and I4
I3 and I4 is maximum so the element (P) has three valence electrons as after losing three electrons it acquires noble gas configuration .

Answer:
For a particular element 'P', I3 = 3658 kJ/mol and I4 = 25024 kJ/mol
If the difference between the succeeding ionisation energies such as I3 and I4 is suddenly high, that means the there are three valence electrons as fourth electron would belong to next subshell.
In the given statement also, fourth ionisation energy is very high compare to third that means electron for which the I4 is related which is very high belong to next subshell.
Hence, for element P, the valence electrons are three.
