(i) An iceberg floats in fresh water with a part of it outside the water surface. Calculate the fraction of volume of iceberg which is below the water surface.

Given: Density of ice = 917 kg m-3,

Density of fresh water = 1000 kg m-3.

(ii) What will happen to a block of iron when put in a mercury trough? The density of iron and mercury are 7800 kg/m3 and 13600 kg/m3respectively.
