I am getting confused in the circuits. Please explain you your method and approach thoroughly so I can get it. thank you.

Refer the figure to get the current i flowing in the circuit as given below
 
(1+2+2)×i + 8 + 5×i = 20
 
hence i = 1.2 A
 
Equivalent resistance of 3 resistive coils is 2 Ω and current passing through all of them is 1.2 A.
 
Hence the potential difference across the three combined resistive coils is 2×1.2 = 2.4V
 
Hence the current passing through the 12 Ω coil is 2.4/12 = 0.2A = 200 mA
 
Here 20V battery is delivering the required current in the circuit. hence the drop in potential difference across the internal resistance 1Ω is 1×1.2 = 1.2V
 
Hence potential difference across 20V battery is 20-1.2=18.8V
 
second battery is not delivering any current, hence 8V is the potential difference across the second battery
