Expert Answer
Primary consumers feed on plant and plant products. Secondary consumers feed on primary consumers. Human beings are omnivores, i.e. some of them eat plant and plant products while some feed on animals such as goat, hen, sheep, etc. Therefore, human beings can be considered as primary consumers when they feed on plants and their products and they can also be considered as secondary consumers when they feed on animals, which are primary consumers. Hence, human beings can occupy second as well as third trophic level of a particular food chain.
