How will the displacement current be affected if the frequency of alternating current applied across a capacitor is increased?

Answered by Expert
The displacement current is directly proportional to rate of change of flux through the capacitor.
Now, the flux increases with the increase in frequency of the ac source.
Thus, the displacement current also increases.
