Hi Shreyash,

To find the square root of a number, find the prime factorisation of the number.

Then club each like pair of prime factors and bring one of them out of the square root, and then multiply the numbers 

removed out.

Example: begin mathsize 12px style square root of 144 equals square root of 3 cross times 2 cross times 2 cross times 3 cross times 2 cross times 2 end root equals square root of 3 cross times 3 cross times 2 cross times 2 cross times 2 cross times 2 end root equals 3 cross times 2 cross times 2 equals 12 end style
