We know, 
 
Average speed = Total distance/ total time taken 
Total time required to complete the 200 km journey is 
t = 200/ 60 = 20/6 hour
 
The first 50 km distance is completed with a speed of 40 km/h 
Thus, time taken to complete 50 km distance is,
t = 50/40 = 5/4 hour
 
Thus the remaining journey of 150 km must be completed in
 
equals space 20 over 6 minus 5 over 4 space equals 25 over 12 space h o u r s
 
Thus, to maintain the average speed of 60 km/h for whole journey the distance of 150 km must be completed with 
speed of,
