Expert Answer
Consider the following distribution:
C.I. f
0-10 2
10-20 5
20-30 8
30-40 5
Now, the less than distribution can be obtained as follows:
C.I. (upper limit) f(c.f) = cumulative frequency
Less than 10 2
Less than 20 5+2 = 7
Less than 30 8+5+2 = 15
Less than 40 8+5+2+5 = 20
The more than distribution can be obtained as follows:
C.I. (Lower limit) f(c.f) = cumulative frequency
More than 0 8+5+2+5 = 20
More than 10 20 - 2 = 18
More than 20 18 - 5 = 13
More than 30 13 - 8 = 5
