The concept of tissue culture at home is very tedious as you may require some lab equipment which cannot be stored at home due to environmental conditions. But some of these parts can be replaced with either of the equipment. But the growth of the plant will depaend on the extreme climatic environment and may lead to failure. So, below are the methods and steps of general tissue culture which can help you.

Ingredients for plant part: The plant parts for tissue culture can be taken as follows: Buds, Stems, Leaves, Roots, Corms, Bulbs

Replacement from labs: In a home lab, the autoclave of the lab is replaced by a microwave or pressure cooker, disinfectants are found at the local store (bleach, hydrogen peroxide). Recycled bottles become glass vessels for growing plants – baby food bottles are especially popular for this. You may also need sugar, baking soda, vinegar, water

Medium: The most popular seems to be Murashige & Skoog (MS) which is modifie ind many different ways depending on the plant. The medium contains what the plants need to use as they grow, much like garden compost.

What are the steps?

1. Preparation of a Sterile Transfer Chamber and Equipment
2. Plant Preparation
3. Transfer of Plant Material to Tissue Culture Medium
4. Growing the plants (which may take some days)
5. Potting the cloned plants
