Heat gained by 0.15kg of Ice at 0°C to become water at 6.7°C  = 0.15×L +0.15×4.186×103 × 6.7  = 0.15×L+4.207×103 J .............(1)
 
where L is latent heat of fusion of ice.
 
Heat lost by 0.3 kg of water from 50°C to 6.7°C = 0.3×4.186×103 ×(50-6.7) = 54.376×103 J........................(2)
 
By conservation of energy, Heat Loss and heat gain are equal.
 
Hence we can equate eqn(1) and (2), we get,  0.15×L+4.207×103  = 54.376×103 .......................(3)
 
By solving eqn.(3), we get L =  3.34×105 J
