All electrolytes dissolve and ionize this is called dissociation.

Acetic acid occurs as dimmer in benzene which means that two molecules will behave as one so in solution there will half a mole particles. Initially we have the number as 1mole and once the solution is formed due to dimmer formation the actual number in solution is ½ mole.
This is called association.

In case three molecules unite forming a trimer and behave as one molecule then 1/3 the initial amount will be observed in solution.
