how to calculate the valency
Asked by Vijaya | 05 Oct, 2017, 03:14: AM
answered-by-expert Expert Answer
The valency of an atom is equal to the number of electrons in the outermost shell if that number is four or less.
If the number of electrons are more than four then the valency is equal to eight minus the number of electrons in the outer shell.
