How to calculate cost of goods sold

Expert Answer
Cost of Revenue from Operations (Cost of Goods Sold): It is computed as follows:
Cost of Goods Sold = Revenue from Operations - Gross Profit OR
Cost of Goods Sold = Revenue from Operations + Gross Loss OR
Cost of Goods Sold = Opening Inventory + Net Purchases + Direct Expenses - Closing Inventory
