How soil is formed

Soil is the uppermost layer of the earth where the growth of all plant life takes. Soil is formed from he weathering of rocks. Rocks are broken into several fine pieces due to temperature, rainfall and organic materials over a period of time. It takes millions of years for the formation of soil.
