How is transpiration helpful to plants?

Transpiration is helpful to plants in the following ways:
1. Evaporation reduces temperature of the leaf surface. Therefore it is helpful to plants on hot sunny days.
2. Transpiration helps in the ascent of sap by producing suction force acting from top of a plant.
3. The suction force is also known as transpirational pull. Because of the Transpirational pull water and minerals reach to each and every leaf of the plant.
