How is the Sun a source of energy?

answered-by-expert Expert Answer

Two gases, hydrogen and helium, are the main constituents of the Sun. The core of the Sun can be compared to a gigantic nuclear reactor which converts huge quantities of hydrogen into helium. Tremendous energy is released by the Sun in all directions during this continuous process. This energy of the Sun reaches the Earth and hence the Sun can be said to be a source of energy.
