How introducing a dielectric between the capacitor plates increases its capacitance?

Dear student
On introduction of dielectric; there is a decrease in the electric field in dielectric, which also decreases the potential difference between the plates of the condenser, therefore the capacity of the condensor(c = q/V) increases.
